The wee boy and I had Friday night to ourselves as his daddy went out on the town. Nice and comfy. Saturday he spent the night with the other granny. I read a book. Sunday morning I read a book and cleaned up the house. Sunday afternoon he came home. His dad pretty much took over. We did, however, watch "I, Robot." The little guy watched the end about 8 times. He really liked the swarming robots, the shooting, the intensity, and Sonny. I would have thought that would be scary to him, but no.
Want a diversion? Read Carpe Demon. It's about a retired demon hunter with husband/kids in the suburbs who suddenly gets called back to service. She tries to keep it a secret from her family. Pretty clever.
Another so-far-incredible book recommended by a friend--Practical Solitary Magic by Nancy Watson. Straight forward, well grounded, just all around impressive. A great introductory text that I'm going to recommend to my gang.
